MONMOUTH, Ill. -- The Monmouth-Roseville baseball team allowed Central to rally for three runs in the third inning, but that was all the Panthers could muster in a 5-3 loss Thursday.

The Titans allowed only three Panthers to reach base the final four innings.

Central trailed 5-0 after two innings, but in the top of the third, Reed Jibben led off with a single to left field. Eric Jones followed with a two-run homer to left. Lane Marlow hit a solo home run to left field, but the offense fizzled after that.
