Northeast Missouri Genealogical Society to hold first meeting of 2017

MEMPHIS, Mo. -- Northeast Missouri Genealogical Society will meet 10 a.m. Saturday, at Keith's Cafe, 470 S. Market St., Memphis.

Scotland County Historical and Genealogical Societies will host the meeting. Sharon Harrison, president of the Northeast Missouri Genealogical Society, will lead the meeting, and the Scotland County group will provide a program, including a tour of Wiggins Museum and Downing House Museum.

Northeast Missouri Genealogical Society serves 14 counties in the area, and quarterly meetings are held througout the region.

The group's mission is to collect genealogy materials, both published and unpublished, for the "Northeast Reporter," a quarterly published in April, June, August and October.

The public and those interested in family research are welcome to attend.
