QUINCY -- A seven-run third inning propelled the Quincy High School baseball team to a 10-4 victory over Palmyra Wednesday at the QHS field.
Quincy (8-4) trailed 2-1 entering the bottom half of the frame, but took the lead on a two-run single by Jack Lucey that scored Drake Green and Dax Flowerree. After Andrew Meyer walked to load the bases, Alex Harbin drew a bases-loaded walk to score another run.
Matthew Schwiete hit into a fielder's choice, but Palmyra committed an error and another Quincy run scored. Ben Schroeder hit an RBI single and Green followed with an RBI double to cap the scoring.
Palmyra (10-4) answered with two runs in the fourth on a two-run homer by Brady Barnett, but Quincy got those runs back in the bottom of the sixth.
Flowerree picked up the victory after throwing one inning of relief. He also had two hits.
Jacob Kroeger led Palmyra with two hits.
