MACOMB, Ill. -- Quincy University freshman Landon Ayers placed second in the decathlon in the Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational Friday and Saturday.
Ayers finished with 5,162 points. He was the top runner in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4 minutes, 45.43 seconds.
Noah James placed fourth in the 400 in 51.0, while Jett Jones was sixth in the high jump at 1.70 meters.
The QU women had two top-10 performers.
Lydia Martens placed sixth in the 3,000 steeplechase in 14:43.69. Marie Rush was 10th in the javelin with a toss of 22.67 meters.
