MOLINE, Ill. -- Andrew Vonderheide and Blake Hayden had the best showing for the Quincy High School boys tennis team at Saturday's Moline Invitational.
The Blue Devils duo finished in eighth place in the doubles competition.
Quincy's duo of Zach Willing and Greysen Arns took ninth after winning the final three matches to claim the consolation title after losing their opening match.
In singles, Ben Oakley finished 10th. After losing his opening match to Naperville Central's Ammaar Sabed, Oakley bounched back with a straight set victory over Belleville East's Ethan Pickard. Oakley eventually lost in the consolation title game to Moline's Shiv Puri.
Josh Daly finished 11th place.
