Schutte sets three school records at Capital City Relays

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Quincy High School junior Maggie Schutte set three school records and won three events Friday at the Capital City Relays.

She captured the 100- and 300-meter hurdles in 14.84 and 45.25 seconds, respectively, to set school records in both events. She also broke the school record in the triple jump with a leap of 36 feet, 10 1/2 inches. Schutte also finished second in the pole vault, clearing 11 feet.

The Blue Devils' Lydia Kurfman won the 3,200 run in 11:15.

Quincy also had two third-place finishes with Ashley Deeter clearing 4-10 in the high jump and Tori Tyler throwing the discus 126-5.

On the boys side, QHS's Jordan Johnson was second in the discus with a toss of 161-2.
