GRADUATES: Missouri S&T

ROLLA, Mo. -- Missouri University of Science and Technology held its winter 2016 commencement ceremony on Dec. 17. Students earning the magna cum laude distinction earned a cumulative grade point average between 3.5 and 3.79 on a 4.0 scale.

Local students receiving degrees were Alexander McFarland of Louisiana, Mo., bachelor of science in electrical engineering; Michael Grinde of Monroe City, magna cum laude, bachelor of science in computer engineering; Franklin Caldwell of Palmyra, magna cum laude, bachelor of science in chemical engineering; and William Castillo, magna cum laude, bachelor of science in electrical engineering.
