Dwayne and Marilyn Kennedy of 106 W. Pittsfield St., Liberty, Ill., will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. April 2 at Liberty Christian Church Fellowship Hall. The event will be hosted by their children. Family and friends are invited.
Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy were married April 8, 1967, at Parkview Church in Quincy.
Mrs. Kennedy, the former Marilyn Mason, is a daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Mason of Quincy. Mr. Kennedy is a son of the late Franklin and Alberta Kennedy of Liberty.
They are the parents of Shelia (Lee) Platt, Sherry (Jim) Huber and Keith (Tiffany) Kennedy, all of Liberty. They have two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kennedy worked in maintenance at St. Mary Hospital and retired from the Blessing Hospital maintenance department. He is a retired fire chief for the Liberty Fire Department and enjoys working outdoors.
Mrs. Kennedy was employed by Quinsippi Nursing Home and St. Mary Hospital. She was previously a dispatcher for the Liberty Fire Department and enjoys crafts.
They are members of Liberty Christian Church and enjoy camping, attending tractor pulls and spending time with their grandchildren.
