HLGU musters just nine hits in doubleheader loss

BATESVILLE, Ark. -- The Hannibal-LaGrange University softball team lost both ends of a doubleheader to Lyon College by scores of 3-2 and 2-0.

HLGU (9-11) scored one run in both the third and fourth innings in the opener and led 2-1 when Lyon scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to win. Madison Ingram allowed six hits and four walks in the taking the loss.

The Scots scored a run in the third and fourth innings in the second game. Bobbie Henderson allowed five hits and two walks, but five errors by the Trojans led to two unearned runs. HLGU had just four hits in the nightcap.
