Hannibal man arrested on multiple charges after traffic stop

QUINCY -- A 20-year-old Hannibal, Mo., man faces numerous charges after his arrest early Friday morning in Quincy.

Dylan M. Faust was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine less than 5 grams, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver less than 5 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended, no valid insurance, illegal use of a cellphone and loud exhaust.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department said deputies stopped Faust at 1:34 a.m. at 18th and Broadway for illegal use of a cellphone and loud exhaust, when they discovered his license was suspended.

A Quincy Police Department K-9 officer was brought in to assist. After further investigation, officers allegedly found several plastic baggies in the vehicle with a white crystal-like substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine, A clear glass pipe with a white residue was also allegedly found.

Faust was taken to the Adams County Jail where he was being held pending his first court appearance.
